Margi Glavovic Nothard

Margi Glavovic Nothard is an artist and the design principal of Glavovic Studio Inc. Her work demonstrates a tangible commitment to creating intelligent, sustainable beauty in the public’s daily lives. Through drawings, photographs, large scale installations, architecture and urban design Glavovic Nothard prompts her audience to slow down and experience the place they are in.

Her studio’s work pays specific attention to local and global connectivity, contemporary culture, process and outcome. Representative Architectural projects are Young Circle ArtsPark in Hollywood, Florida, conceived as a large urban sculpture, almost 10 acres, integrating art, architecture, urban design and landscape design, the renowned Bridge-Stair Sculpture at the NSU Museum of Art in Fort Lauderdale followed by the art commission Threshold, a site specific artwork, the Girls’ Club, for which Glavovic Nothard invented the representative image and spatial construct, along with the notion of a physical presence on the street, and the Young At Art|Museum and Broward County Library’s LEED gold project with AECOM, Nothard’s role included Design, Art, Master Planning, Programming, Architectural Design, Wayfinding, Graphic Design and development of the creative expression and integration of experiential visual content.

Margi’s most recent work – FLOW: a large scale public art project addressing over 9000SF of exterior breezeway and plaza space in the new Broward County Courthouse project is in the design phase and will transform an exterior public space in downtown Fort Lauderdale connecting justice, environment, history and downtown urban spaces with intimate urban moments of community and reconciliation – making new urban connections and thin moments of exquisite beauty.
